If you are using a limited bandwidth Internet plan then I’m sure you are always worried about the daily bandwidth usage. Whenever you exceed the limited quota, your internet provider might charge additional amount or slows your download and upload speed. You can avoid these extra charges by analyzing how much data you used don’t go beyond the limit.
Windows doesn’t have a feature to analyze data usages but there is lot of light weight third-party apps can perform this task. Well, last two days I’m trying some of them and ended with NetWorx because it has plenty of features and detailed reports about our internet usage and more over it’s a free application.
NetWorx is a utility for measuring your bandwidth usage and provides multiple different methods to analyze the usage, such as daily reports, weekly reports, monthly reports, hourly rates.

After installation you can see Networx icon in system tray, when you left click on that icon you can see a pop-up showing
the current internet transfer rate in real-time.
To get the usage report, double-click on the tray icon, now you will get a customized real-time overview of usage report. It includes daily, weekly and monthly reports, an overview of today’s bandwidth consumption, custom bandwidth reports, dial-up sessions and hourly rates. Data can be exported and backed up among other things.
NetWorx allows you to export each report into .XLS, .RTF, .HTM, .TXT, and .CSV formats. For dial-up users NetWorx has the ability to monitor bandwidth usage by dial-up sessions. For multi-user computers, NetWorx has the ability to differentiate bandwidth usage between users, or to view bandwidth usage in total.
The most useful feature is you can set monthly or daily quota. You can set a monthly limit, so you will get alerts when you are going to exceed the limit. To set quotas, Right Click on tray icon and select Quota then click on the setup button and set your monthly limit.
